(English)

Next weekend, for the first time in two months, I have a studio practice with my dad’s band, which I put together with my classmates.

Since we formed the band about a year ago, we have been practicing in the studio every month or two, covering songs that were popular when we were in elementary and middle school, from Southern to Beatles.

I myself play vocals and guitar, but it has been less than two years since I started playing guitar, so I have to practice on my own every day to keep up with the others.

I still think my progress is as slow as a tortoise compared to when I was younger, but now I am happy that I can still enjoy my youth at this age.

Julia Cameron’s internationally best-selling book, “Do What You’ve Always Wanted to Do,” also recommends that those of us who are older should do what we longed to do or wanted to do when we were younger, but could not because we were too old. I recommend that people who are older should do things that they wanted to do when they were younger but were unable to do because of their age. In particular, it is said that doing artistic and creative things that stimulate the left brain slows down the aging process.

I myself have spent 30 years of my life as a company employee, and I have always been a right-brain person, but from now on, I would like to release my instincts and lead a life that stimulates my left brain more and more.

By the way, the original title of “Do What You’ve Always Wanted to Do” is “The Artist Way.

Now, I am not aiming to be an artist, but I am looking forward to using my creativity more, stimulating the nerves in parts of my body that I have not used before, and meeting a new me.

Now, I will work on my guitar practice, running, and English study today.
