ドリームハウス建設のために、自分の希望を全て詰め込んだ場合に、どれくらいの予算でどんな家が建つのかを把握するために、数週間前に十何社に及ぶハウスメーカーと工務店に間取りと費用概算を出していただけないか依頼をしました。
今のところ、その中の5社くらいから提案書をいただいています。
費用はさておき、出てきた間取りやパースは、驚くほどハウスメーカーにより違いがあり、正直がっかりするようなものから、見ただけでワクワクするものまで千差万別です。
また、営業担当者の方も、”平家は坪単価が高く、これだけ色々な設備や仕様を入れるとかなり割高になりますね” と最初から牽制してくる方から、”素晴らしい土地ですね。これだけの広い土地なら色々なことができますね、ワクワクします” とこちらまでテンションが上がるようなコメントをされる方もいて対応も人それぞれだなと思いました。
ちなみに、今回提案いただく際に入れていただくように希望した条件は、
- 平家であること
- 車が3台に、自転車、アウトドア用品などが入る屋根付きガレージ
- 大型犬であるチャーリーがくつろげる広い土間に、ゆったりとしたシューズクローク
- 土間からつながる広めのアイランドキッチン
- キッチンからつながる大きめのリビング浴室、脱衣所、洗濯機などの水回りに、洗濯物を室内干しできるラウンドリースペースに、その隣に家族の洋服を全て収納できる大容量ウォークインクローゼット
- キッチンとリビング側に大開口の窓
- 日中カーテンやシャッターを閉めなくてもプライベート空間を確保できる、コの字方の家、もしくは、外構の高い壁によりプライベートを確保
- キッチン、リビング側に大きなウッドデッキを張り出し、ハンモックを置いたり、BBQ台を設置
- 音楽を大音量で聴いたり、ギターを演奏できる防音対策のされた趣味部屋（書斎）
- 家庭菜園のスペースと中庭があること
でした。
かなり欲張りなことは承知していますが、やはりドリームハウスですからその家に住むことを考えただけでワクワクすることが一番大切だと思っています。
ちなみに、この全ての条件を満たしてくれた提案をいただけたのは、今のところは一社のみです。
まだこれから5社くらいからの提案を見込んでいますが、時間がかかってもいいのでできる限り妥協をしない家作りをしていければいいなと思っています。

In order to get an idea of what kind of house I would like to build for my dream house and how much I would be able to afford if I had all my wishes in mind, a few weeks ago I asked a dozen housebuilders and construction companies if they could give me a floor plan and cost estimate.
So far, we have received proposals from about five of those companies.
Aside from the cost, the floor plans and perspectives that have come out are surprisingly different from one house builder to another, and honestly, they vary widely from disappointing to exciting to look at.
Also, the sales staffs were very different from the beginning, some of them would say, “The price per tsubo is high for a one-story house, and it will be quite expensive if you add various facilities and specifications,” while others would say, “It is a wonderful land. I’m excited to be able to do so many things with such a large plot of land.
Incidentally, the conditions we requested to be included in the proposal this time were
- The house must be a single-story house.
- A covered garage for three cars, bicycles, and outdoor equipment.
- A large earthen floor where Charlie, our large dog, can relax, and a spacious shoe closet.
- A spacious kitchen with an island connected to the earthen floor
- A large living room bathroom, dressing room, and laundry room connected to the kitchen, a roundley space for drying laundry indoors, and a large walk-in closet next to it for storing all the family’s clothes.
- Large windows on the kitchen and living room side
- U-shaped house that allows for private space without the need to close curtains or shutters during the day, or a high wall on the exterior to ensure privacy
- A large wooden deck on the kitchen and living room side, with a hammock or BBQ table.
- A soundproofed hobby room (study) for listening to loud music or playing guitar
- A space for a vegetable garden and a courtyard.
The house was designed to have a vegetable garden space and a courtyard.
I know that this is quite greedy, but it is a dream house, so I think the most important thing is to be excited just thinking about living in it.
Incidentally, so far we have only received a proposal from one company that meets all of these criteria.
We are still expecting proposals from about five more companies, but we hope to build a house with as few compromises as possible, even if it takes time.
夢の家建設にあたり、一番大事にしたいのはワクワクするかどうか。予算などの制約はありますが、ワクワクするかどうかを全ての判断基準にしたいと思っています、というか人生そのものもワクワクする方に向かっていくことが幸せな人生の絶対条件ではないでしょうか。
