昨日は、オフィスから見るスカイツリーの向こうの入道雲に、夏が来たなと感じました。
帰宅後夕飯を食べた後、空が茜色になる頃に、チャーリーを連れて海岸沿いを走りに行きましたが、海からの潮風が頬に当たり、その匂いも夏そのものでした。
そして今朝は、大粒の雨が降ってきたと思ったら家の中が振動するくらいの雷が。
目まぐるしく変わる天気でしたが、日本は四季の移ろいが美しく、季節により旬の食べ物を楽しんだり、季節ごとの行事が盛りだくさんで、本当に美しい国だと思います。
若い時は、日本を窮屈に感じ、海外に出たこともありましたが、歳を取るごとに日本人に生まれて良かったなと感じることが多くなりました。
それを、黄昏と取ることもできるかもしれませんが、今は日本や日本人の良さを得意な英語を使って伝えていき、また、真のグローバル人になるためにも、国を超えて良いところはどんどん積極的に取り入れていきたいと考えています。
同時にこの美しい国を残していくためにも、海外からもっと積極的に移住者や移民を受け入れていく必要がありますが、テレビやYouTubeなどの動画で、青い目に金髪の外国人がとても綺麗な日本語を話したり、日本人以上に日本の歴史や文化に精通しているのを見るたびに、この人たち心はすでに日本人だなと思ったりします。
ちなみに、昨年2021年の人口減は62万人で、これは鳥取県の人口54万人を上回る規模になったそうです。
アニメやJPOPがきっかけで日本に興味を持ち、日本を好きになってくれる外国人の方が増えていますが、実際に日本にやってきて、その治安の良さ、食事の美味しさ、日本人の親切さにさらに感動して日本への移住を希望する人も増えているそうです。
そんな美しい国を守ためにも、日本の良さをどんどん世界に発信していけるように今日もブログやTwitterでつぶやいていきたいと思います。

Yesterday, the iridescent clouds over the Sky Tree seen from my office made me feel that summer had arrived.
After coming home and eating dinner, I took Charlie for a run along the coast when the sky was turning into a madder shade of red. The sea breeze from the ocean hit my cheeks, and the smell of it was summer itself.
This morning, it rained heavily, and then there was enough thunder to make the house vibrate.
The weather was changing at a dizzying pace, but I think Japan is truly a beautiful country with its beautiful changing seasons, seasonal foods, and many seasonal events.
When I was young, I felt cramped in Japan and even went abroad, but as I get older, I often feel glad to be born Japanese.
One might take that as twilight, but now I want to use my strengths in English to convey the good qualities of Japan and the Japanese people, and also to actively incorporate more and more of the good things that transcend national boundaries in order to become a truly global person.
At the same time, in order to preserve our beautiful country, we need to actively accept more immigrants and migrants from abroad. I think that these people are already Japanese at heart.
By the way, the population decrease last year in 2021 was 620,000, which is larger than Tottori Prefecture’s population of 540,000.
More and more foreigners are becoming interested in and fond of Japan because of anime and JPOP, and more and more people are actually coming to Japan and are even more impressed by its safety, delicious food, and the kindness of the Japanese people, and wish to move to Japan.
