(English)

Recently, I have been practicing table tennis with my daughter, who is now in the second year of junior high school, and her classmates from her daughter’s table tennis club, and going to support my daughter’s junior high school athletic festival, and I have been thinking back to my junior high school days.

When I had just finished junior high school, I truly believed that I could become anything I wanted to be, and I remember having nothing but dreams and hopes. As my life progressed from there to high school, college, and employment, I was troubled by the gap between ideals and reality, and I often felt that life is not always as it seems.

However, I was able to continue to study English, which had been my passion since childhood, no matter what time of the day.

I am sure it was because I worked for a foreign-affiliated company and had the opportunity to experience living abroad, and I was in an environment where I was constantly using English.

Now that I am 54 years old, I have decided to accelerate my English studies in order to further improve my English level.

I think it would be more accurate to say that I am mastering the English language, or rather, I am mastering the English language.

I have been reading at a pace of one English book per week so far this year, and as of May 22, I have read my 22nd book.

I don’t think that reading 52 English books in a year will suddenly change anything, but what I need most now is to face what I am passionate about at full speed.

If I can do that, I believe I will be able to accept everything about myself and my life to date in a positive way.

I feel that it is very late to start my spurt, but I will keep running with the intention of making a big flower bloom from now on.

Now, let’s keep up the English language today.
