(English)

A long time ago, when I was young, I read a book called “Hiroshi, I give you English and Spanish,” which still leaves an impression on me.

The book’s obi said.

“My father raised the boy in English, my mother in Spanish, and my grandmother in Japanese. Unique in its multilingual education is its practical record.”

And so it goes.

The author of this book wanted to leave his son with knowledge rather than money, a house, or other possessions, so he conducted an experimental education by raising his son in English, his specialty (I think he was a professor of English literature at a university), and his wife in Spanish (also a professor at a university).

Incidentally, more than ten years after this book was published, I happened to read an interview article or something about his son, Hiroshi, and I remember being impressed by how wonderfully trilingual he had become.

I remember being impressed by his trilingualism. So, these days, I wonder what I can give to my daughter.
It is necessary to buy her something or provide her with a good environment, but I think it is important to guide her so that she can acquire knowledge and skills.

At work, I specialize in coaching and teaching, but when it comes to my only daughter, I will always be a new father, so I would like to learn and grow with her, making mistakes along the way.
