When I was writing yesterday’s blog post (Investing in Time), I was reminiscing about the time when I was a university student.

When I was a university student in the late 80’s, we were in the midst of the bubble economy and everyone was in a state of excitement, but I didn’t take my classes seriously at university, I just spent my time working part-time and participating in club activities.

When I think back on it now, I realize that I was more than just an immature youth.

During the four years of my college life from my late teens to my twenties, I only bought a degree with money and lost the opportunity to learn and grow in the true sense of the word.

It may be a miracle that I was able to feel a sense of urgency and continue to learn with ambition after seeing the excellent people around me in the workforce.

Unfortunately, that time when I wasted so much money and time will never come back. What I can do now may be to live hard in the present moment and prove that life can be redone at any time as long as you are motivated.

As a matter of fact, when I was job hunting in my senior year of college, a classmate of my father’s, who was the vice president of a large company, gave me this advice.

“He told me, “Life is just fine when you are a big talent.

Now I think that he must have sensed my lack of self-confidence and told me that.

Thank you very much for that time. I still keep those words in my heart and say to myself.
I’m still a little boy with a little life ahead of me.
