今日は少しノスタルジックなお話をさせてもらいます。
一昨年前の12月に、実家近くに引っ越してきました。
引越しをした理由の一つは、我が家に愛犬を招き入れたかったからです。
今では、毎日愛犬チャーリーとの散歩が私の日課になっていますが、以前ブログ記事でも書いた人気のない大きな公園で思い切り遊ばせた後、必ず実家により、母から水をもらっています。
そして、実家から、今の家に帰る道は、自分が40年以上前に6年間通った小学校の通学路なのです。
この道を通っていると、小学生の頃のはるか昔の記憶が蘇ってくることがよくあります。
40年という時を経ても、小学生の頃の風景や記憶は色褪せることもなく、何か自分がタイムスリップした感覚というか、自分はあの頃と何も変わっていないという感覚になるのです。
それでも、チャーリーにリードを引っ張られると、あの時はいなかったチャーリーを見て、また現実に引き戻されるという不思議な感覚です。
これから、自分がどんどん年を取っても、心の中には、楽しかった小学生時代の自分がいつでもそこにいることを感じて生きていけれはいいなと思いました。

Today I would like to share a little nostalgic story with you.The year before last, in December, I moved to a new house near my parents’ house.
One of the reasons I moved was because I wanted to invite my dog into my home.
Now, taking my dog Charlie for a walk every day is part of my daily routine, and after letting him play in the big, empty park that I wrote about in a previous blog post, I always go to my parents’ house to get water for Charlie from my mother.
The road from my parents’ house to my current house is the same road I took to my elementary school for six years over 40 years ago.
Even after 40 years, the scenery and memories of my elementary school days have not faded, and I feel like I’ve gone back in time, or that I haven’t changed at all.
Still, when Charlie pulls me by the leash, it’s a strange feeling to see a Charlie that wasn’t there then and be pulled back to reality again.
From now on, even as I get older and older, I hope I can live my life with the feeling that the fun I had in elementary school will always be there in my heart.Stay gold.
