今でも、年に数回は合っている悪友グループに、中学３年生の時のクラスメートがいます。
40年近く経っているのに、いまだに関係が続いている理由を考えてみましたが、それは、皆それぞれが夢や希望を語り、共有した仲だからだと思っています。
それぞれの進学先高校が決まった後、中学を卒業するまでの数ヶ月だったと思いますが、毎日夜に中学校に集合して、10人くらいのグループで一緒に中学のマラソンコースを走っていました。
走り合った後は、皆で、高校に入ったら何がしたいか、何の部活に入るか、将来何をしたいのかそれぞれの夢や希望を語り合っていた記憶があります。
そして、その仲間で計画をして、卒業旅行で伊豆まで泊まりに行ったのも忘れられない思い出になりました。
そんな仲間なので、今でも合うと、直ぐに3年A組の誰君に戻って青春の続きができるのです。
たまたま同じ年に生まれ、同じクラスになったことから始まった関係ですが、あの濃密な時間を共有していることは何事にも変え難く、この後幾つ歳を重ねても、皆で集まった時は中学生の時の自分のままなのかもしれません。

One group of bad friends that I still see a few times a year are my classmates from the third year of junior high school, and I’ve been trying to figure out why we still have a relationship after almost 40 years, and I think it’s because we all shared the same dreams and hopes.
I think it was a few months before we graduated from junior high school, after each of us had decided which high school we would go to, we would meet at the junior high school every night and run the marathon course together as a group of about ten.
After running together, we would talk about what we wanted to do in high school, what club activities we wanted to join, and what we wanted to do in the future.
We also made plans together and went to Izu for our graduation trip, which became an unforgettable memory.
Even now, whenever we get together, I feel like I’m back in Class 3A and we can continue our youth.
Our relationship started because we happened to be born in the same year and were in the same class, but the fact that we shared that intense time together is irreplaceable, and no matter how old we get, we may still be the same people we were in junior high school when we get together.
