(English)

Today I went shopping in Tokyo because my daughter, a first-year junior high school student, wanted to buy sweatshirts for school.

She is allowed to wear trainers over her uniform shirt, but since the heating in the classroom is turned off to save electricity this winter, she says the Champion trainers she is wearing now are too cold.

He wants trainers with a thick lining to protect him from the cold, so I suggested an outdoor brand, but he said that is not fashionable for a first-year junior high school girl, so I took him to 109 in Shibuya first.

However, the target group of the stores in the store seemed to be older than my daughter, so we could not find anything she liked.

So, we moved from Shibuya to Harajuku in a hurry.

I found a pair of sweatshirts that I liked at a store in Harajuku and was able to buy two different color sweatshirts, one white and one black. With this, my mission as a father was complete.

I had never been involved in Shibuya 109 or Harajuku, but the birth of my daughter gave me a connection.

Perhaps it is because we share the same type B, but we often clash over our interests and tastes, and since we have become more verbal, we often argue. I sometimes get annoyed at this, but I tell myself that I have to think that my daughter has come to our home to learn many things from me.

In our family, since the birth of my daughter, I have always referred to myself as “chan,” and my mother as “san. And her mother is called “sanzuke. This may mean that she naturally respects her mother and takes her father lightly. Is this an educational failure? No. I tell myself that it is the best education, and I am confronting my daughter today.
