さて、いよいよ夢の自宅建設へ向けて、実際にハウスメーカーに連絡を取り始めてみたいと思います。
具体的には、10社くらいのハウスメーカーに対して、自分の希望を伝えた上で、フロアプランやパースと大まかな見積もり費用を出していただき、そこからどのハウスメーカーが良いか比較検討していきたいと思っています。
私自身の希望に含めようと思っているのは、
- 平家であること
- 車が3台に、自転車、アウトドア用品などが入る屋根付きガレージ
- 大型犬であるチャーリーがくつろげる広い土間に、ゆったりとしたシューズクローク
- 土間からつながる広めのアイランドキッチン
- キッチンからつながる大きめのリビング浴室、脱衣所、洗濯機などの水回りに、洗濯物を室内干しできるラウンドリースペースに、その隣に家族の洋服を全て収納できる大容量ウォークインクローゼット
- キッチンとリビング側に大開口の窓
- 日中カーテンやシャッターを閉めなくてもプライベート空間を確保できる、コの字方の家、もしくは、外構の高い壁によりプライベートを確保
- キッチン、リビング側に大きなウッドデッキを張り出し、ハンモックを置いたり、BBQ台を設置
- 音楽を大音量で聴いたり、ギターを演奏できる防音対策のされた趣味部屋（書斎）
- 家庭菜園のスペースと中庭があること
だいぶ欲張りなプランとなっていますが、考えているだけでワクワクしてきますね。
実際に住み始められるのは、55歳を過ぎてからになるので、その先どれくらい住めるかは分かりません。それでも、できる限り妥協はせずに、家族や自分の希望の詰まった夢のお家にできればいいなと思っています。

Now, I would like to start contacting actual house builders to build my dream home.
Specifically, I would like to contact about 10 housebuilders, tell them what I want, and then ask them to provide me with floor plans, perspectives, and rough cost estimates, from which I can compare and consider which housebuilder would be best for me.
My own preferences would include
The house must be a single story house.
A covered garage for three cars, bicycles, outdoor equipment, etc.
A large dirt floor where Charlie, our large dog, can relax, and a spacious shoe closet
A large kitchen with an island connected to the earthen floor
Large living room connected to the kitchen
Large walk-in closet next to the bathroom, dressing room, and laundry room, and a roundley space for drying laundry indoors, where all the family’s clothes can be stored
Large windows on the kitchen and living room sides
U-shaped house that allows for private space without the need to close curtains or shutters during the day, or a high wall on the exterior to ensure privacy
Large wooden deck on the kitchen and living room side with a hammock or BBQ table
A soundproofed hobby room (study) where you can listen to loud music or play your guitar
Space for a vegetable garden.
This is a very greedy plan, but it is exciting just to think about it.
I won’t be able to actually start living in the house until after I turn 55, so I don’t know how long I will be able to live there. Still, I hope to make as few compromises as possible and make it into the dream home that my family and I hope to have.

さて、いよいよ自宅建設のプロジェクトを動かしていきたいと思います。自分と家族の夢の詰まったドリームハウスにするために計画にしっかりと時間をかけて自分達が納得できるまでとことん突き詰めていくつもりです。
