(English)

There are five of us who were classmates in elementary and junior high school together, and we still see each other regularly.

We have gone our separate ways since high school, and have different colleges and places of employment, but recently we have been having a lot of fun starting up our dad’s band.

From the time we graduated from junior high school to the day we entered high school, we would run the marathon course together every night and talk about our dreams, but before we knew it, almost 40 years had passed.

Over the past 40 years, each of us has been running as hard as we can, going to college, finding jobs, getting married, raising children, and so on, but as we enter the second half of our lives, our desire to share something we are passionate about together has come together again, and we have formed a father band to practice together.

I’ve never been good at socializing, and I’ve always been jealous of people who are able to build close friendships, especially after they grow up, but I don’t have to worry about my friends who I’ve known since I was a kid.

By the way, although I haven’t said it to their faces, I secretly have a rivalry with these three friends.

I am inspired by the fact that they are still playing soccer, athletics, and music, which they used to devote themselves to in their school days, despite their age of 52 (although some of them are 53).

Although I lost to him in terms of physical strength and brains then and now, I believe that I was able to cultivate the effort to keep doing one thing because of that time, and I still want to work hard as a good rival.

If I say that, everyone will probably tell me not to get too worked up.

Thank you for being a good friend.
