(English)

Just when I thought the new year had started, January is already over. I’ve set a lot of goals for this year, so time is flying by.

Before I know it, January will be over, and then six months will have passed, and then another year will have come and gone.

I believe that time is the most precious of all assets because, unlike money, it cannot double or triple your life span, although you can extend it somewhat by getting healthier.

I also feel that a person’s life will change drastically if he or she is able to use the asset of time well. In particular, it is very important to use time with the concept of compound interest, and just like investing money, if you take the time to increase your knowledge and experience, you can expect growth and improvement not by adding, but by multiplying.

This multiplicative change is called a breakthrough or a grand jute. By the way, “grand jute” is a ballet term meaning a big leap forward.

When you start studying a language or learning something, at first the change develops in proportion to the time you invest (proportional change).

Next, the degree of change in relation to time gradually decreases (called diminishing change).

However, if you continue to invest in time, you may suddenly notice a significant change in your situation, even though you have spent so much time on it. This is what I mean by thinking in terms of compound interest rather than adding up time.

I believe that the growth curve of proportional change, diminishing change, and discontinuous change is the same as how much you invest in your time. Living your own life instead of living someone else’s life means to use your time only for yourself.
