株式投資運用の準備のため、会社四季報から、成長性や収益性などを調べて投資対象になる企業を探しています。
日本の株式市場には、プライム、スタンダード、グロースなどに分類されるマーケットを合わせると、3,800もの企業が上場しています。
会社四季報には、この上場企業全ての情報は載っているので、2000ページを超える分量になっていますが、とても全ての企業の情報に目を通すことはできないので、四季報オンラインの有料会員になってスクリーニング機能を使えるようにしました。
このスクリーニング機能を使うと、売上高や純資産、株価や時価総額など、なんと976の項目でのスクリーニングが可能となるので、時価総額が300億円以下（小型株）で、前期実績、今季、来季予想値で、売上高、利益率10%以上の企業だけ選別するということが簡単にできてしまいます。
そこで選別された企業の業績や情報、株価などを個別に見ていき、投資対象として魅力的かを判断することとなります。
私自身も、まだ100社くらいしか見れてはいないのですが、それでも、日本には色々な企業が凌ぎを削ってビジネスを拡大するために努力をしていることが分かります。
そもそも日本にはどれくらいの数の会社があるのか気になって調べたところ、2021年6月時点で、なんと367万4000社もの企業があることが分かりました。
それらの企業が日本全体の経済を支えているということですね。
ちなみに、そのうち、従業員が10人以上の会社は42万社しかなく、いわゆるマイクロ法人と言われる個人事業者が218万もいるそうです。
私自身、これまで30年にわたり大企業のもとで会社員生活を送ってきましたが、残りの人生をかけて個人事業主になってみたいという願望が出てきました。
日本の明るい未来は、株式市場に上場しているような大企業だけでなく、もっと多くの個人事業主が成功することで築かれていくものだと信じています。
私の今の理想は、大企業に株式投資をして、キャピタルゲインを狙いつつ、自分は個人事業主としてチャレンジしていく。
個人がもっと輝ける日本にしていきたいですね。

In preparation for stock management, we look for companies to invest in by examining their growth potential and profitability from the Company Quarterly Report.
There are as many as 3,800 companies listed on the Japanese stock market, including those classified as prime, standard, and growth.
The Kaisha Shikiho contains information on all of these listed companies and is over 2,000 pages long, but it is impossible to read through all of the information on every company.
Using this screening function, it is possible to screen a total of 976 items such as sales, net assets, stock price, and market capitalization, making it easy to select only those companies with a market capitalization of 30 billion yen or less (small-cap stocks) that have sales and profit margins of 10% or more based on last year’s results, this season, and next season’s forecasts. This is a very easy way to select companies with sales and profit margins of 10% or more.
Then, we look at the performance, information, stock price, etc. of the selected companies individually to determine whether they are attractive as investment targets.
I myself have only looked at about 100 companies, but even so, I can see that there are many companies in Japan that are working hard to expand their business.
I was curious to know how many companies there are in Japan, so I looked them up and found that as of June 2021, there are a whopping 3,674,000 companies in Japan.
These companies support the economy of Japan as a whole.
Incidentally, of those companies, only 420,000 have 10 or more employees, and there are 2.18 million so-called micro corporations, or sole proprietorships.
I myself have spent the past 30 years as a company employee under a large corporation, but I have developed a desire to become a sole proprietor for the rest of my life.
I believe that Japan’s bright future will be built not only by large corporations such as those listed on the stock market, but also by the success of more sole proprietorships.
My current ideal is to invest in large companies and aim for capital gains, while I take on challenges as a sole proprietor.
