When comparing from the word “Obsession” to the “Passion” the following articulate of difference between those two words I think.
Passion-when people admire you for it
Obsession-when you do it too much and people think you’re re weird
Normally, Passion is used in a positive sense and Obession is often used in a negative sense, but Michael Penn, who has the title of creative strategist, said Obsession was the person recommends that you have the opportunity to spend the rest of your life subliming.
Looking around the world, it’s hard to find someone with a clear Passion, but every one or two have an Obsession. Sublimating that Obsession into a Passion is a hint to make that person happy.
In the book I read before, there was a story that the person who designed Sony’s Trinitron TV as a designer now runs a Japanese soba noodle shop and has become the ultimate soba making expert. It looks like a career in a field completely different from industrial product designers and Japanese buckwheat craftsmen, but I’m sure this person has no contradictions, and that it is the result of honestly following his desires.
