I myself have been providing business coaching to employees as a people manager for more than 20 years now.

So I’ve been working with people for decades, helping them develop their strengths and opportunities for improvement, helping them set goals and action plans, and giving them feedback on a regular basis. …………………
I’m facing a huge problem: I can’t coach my own daughter, who will be in 6th grade in April, effectively at all.

I can feel my confidence crumbling with a rattle.

At work, I can always coach calmly and with consideration for others, but when it comes to my daughter, I’m shocked to find that I’m just saying things emotionally that negatively affect her personality, instead of developing her strengths.

So, as a father, I wrote down the following things and put them on my wall so that I could be a role model for my daughter.

Don’t say words that don’t mean anything to her, or words that lower her confidence.

Continue to patiently give advice until the right words and actions are taken. You can’t lose them.

Support them in their learning by letting them experience success and look back so that they can learn from their mistakes.

Take the initiative to be a role model and show them what you can do.

Don’t use force to control them.

When anger arises, leave the situation at once. Do not speak negatively.

Appreciate the time you have as a family more than anything else. Remember that your children will soon leave the nest.

As soon as I was about to do my best to renew my mind, my daughter noticed the sign and said, “You’re not doing this at all.

Yes, I haven’t done it at all, so I’m going to work hard from now on.
