今年の夏休みの家族旅行は、愛犬チャーリーも一緒に来ています。
チャーリーが我が家に来て2年と8ヶ月。
この3年余りでガラッと人生の景色が変わった気がしています。
ちょうどコロナ禍と重なり、家にいる時間が多かったので、何をするにもチャーリーと一緒。
日課になったウォーキングもチャーリーのおかけですし、最近はマラソンの練習のランニングにもいつも付き合ってもらっています。
そして、何よりも、元気がない時も、悲しい時もいつも隣で側にいてくれることにどれだけ救われてきたでしょうか。
何万年も前から、人間と犬は共存してきたと言いますが、これだけ心を通わせられる最高のパートナーは他には見当たりません。
家族にチャーリーが加わったことで、家族の思い出も随分と彩豊かになってきました。
人間よりはるかに短いチャーリーの時間。できるだけ一緒に、少しでも濃い時間を過ごしていきたいと思います。
チャーリーと出会えて本当に幸せです。
ところで前世ではチャーリーとどんな関係だったのでしょう。気になるところですが来世でも一緒になる気満々です。

Our dog Charlie is coming with us on our family vacation this summer.
Charlie has been in our home for two years and eight months.
I feel like the landscape of my life has changed dramatically in the past three-plus years.
I have spent a lot of time at home because of the Corona Disaster, so everything I do is with Charlie.
Walking, which has become a daily routine, is also thanks to Charlie, and recently he has always accompanied me on my marathon training runs.
And most of all, how much he has saved me by always being by my side when I am down or sad.
They say that humans and dogs have been living together for tens of thousands of years, but I can’t think of a better partner with whom I can share my heart.
With the addition of Charlie to our family, our family memories have become much more colorful. Charlie’s time with us is much shorter than with humans. We want to spend as much time together as possible, even if it is just a little bit longer.
I am very happy to have met Charlie.
By the way, I wonder what kind of relationship he had with Charlie in his previous life. I am curious about it, and I am ready to be with him in the next life.
